It provides a comprehensive range of programmes up to level 9 NFQ with particular expertise in education, including initial teacher education and nursing undergraduate programmes. As par of its continued development, Hibernia College is now seeking an exceptional experienced nursing academic, with excellent understanding of policy, curriculum and practice to lead the development of its new blended learning undergraduate nursing degree programme which embodies the College vision of making education accessible to all students.    

THE ROLE

The Programme Director is the academic leader for the BSc (Hons) in Nursing in General Nursing at Hibernia College. The Programme Director provides strong academic leadership to the nursing faculty and students alike and works closely with all College departments to ensure the resources of the programme are appropriately managed. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the academic delivery of the inaugural cohort of its new undergraduate nursing programme, the first of its kind in Ireland, and to oversee the growth of the nursing department within the College.


THE PERSON

The appointee should have a strong academic background as well as an established record of leadership and achievement at a senior level as a nursing educator. Highly developed organisational, change management, communication, people management and interpersonal skills are also essential.
