THE ORGANISATION

Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, wishes to invite applications for the post of Programme Director - Digital Transformation. This is a new, unique, and challenging role that blends strategic digital and IT functional responsibilities, calling for a wide range of IT expertise combined with consulting/advisory experience.

THE ROLE

The Programme Director – Digital Transformation is primarily responsible for the establishment and delivery of new strategic initiatives to accelerate, transform and optimise the student and staff digital experience at Trinity. As a member of the IT Services’ Senior Management Team, the role will apply thought and execution leadership in the design, mobilisation, governance, delivery and change management across a portfolio of sponsored strategic digital initiatives for the University. In addition, the role will be accountable for building, leading and directing a team of technology specialists, and delivering digital workplace services.

THE PERSON

You will possess significant senior management experience of a similar IT role within a fast-paced technology, academic or business environment. This experience may have been gained in either the public or private sectors. You will possess a demonstrable track record of achievement and will possess strong programme, project and people management abilities together with developed digital transformation competencies. A strategic thinker you will have a proven track record in change management coupled with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. You will possess appropriate academic and/or professional qualifications related to the principal role accountabilities.
