THE ORGANISATION
Founded in 1975, Dublin Business School (DBS), is Ireland’s largest independent third-level college and provides a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, executive and professional programmes. The College is par of Kaplan Inc., the education division of The Graham Holdings Company and a leading international provider of higher education, professional development and lifelong learning programmes. To support its growth plans and change agenda, both organisationally and strategically, DBS is seeking to appoint an accomplished individual to serve as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
THE ROLE
Reporting to the President, the CFO will lead and supervise the Finance Department to ensure the continued financial sustainability and success of the College. As an integral par of the DBS Senior Leadership Team, the CFO will support the broader Kaplan company in managing DBS from a financial perspective and will also play a key strategic role in the overall vision and direction of the College. The CFO will also manage corporate board administration relating to DBS and its associated companies.
THE PERSON
You will not only be an exceptional and qualified accountant with hands-on financial management expertise, but also a commercially astute individual equipped to help guide the business as it grows and develops further. You will also have a demonstrable track record of success in enhancing margin improvement and possess excellent change management skills. Your background will include strong evidence of leadership and achievement in large complex environments engaging and influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
